Advent Countdown to Christmas Paper Chain Craft
Leading your children to Christmas with the Bible, art, and anticipation
Looking for a fun, hands-on way to keep your family centered on Christ this December? Beyond the Stick Figure presents the Advent Countdown to Christmas Paper Chain. More than just a printable, this bundle includes four videos about how to make beautiful chains, where to hang them, and keeping children centered on Christ this Advent and Christmas season. In this series, Sally shares about her childhood Christmases in England and invites you to join her on a magical journey through Advent that culminates the ultimate gift, Love incarnate.
This project is perfect for students age 3 and up. Complete one chain as a family or have each member make their own. Adorn your house with precious pieces of art that reflect the true meaning of the season. Each individually designed link contains a Bible verse to find and read. Center your family each day on the Word of God with anticipation and art.
Best of all, you have lifetime access to this bundle, so this can become a family tradition. If you can color with a crayon, you can do this project. It is simple, enjoyable, and beautiful. Make it as elaborate or simple as you like. This is your chance to create something beautiful in anticipation of Christmas day, while keeping your heart pointed toward Him.
Sally is a native of England. She came here in her early 20’s, got married and had eight kids that she homeschools. She is a trained artist that has become passionate about passing on her skills. At the age of ten, she knew that she wanted to be an artist and thought that is was a career for people that had a “gift”. She followed her dream and attended Loughborough College of Art and Design in England where she obtained her degree in art.
As a homeschool mum, she realized that art is not just for the gifted, but can be taught incrementally like any subject. She saw first hand how traditional teaching methods for this subject can be detrimental. Now, she wants to share her passion with children young and old to ignite their own love of creating art.
